Hey, I'm Craig!
I was born in Sacramento, California in 1963 and grew up in the foothill town of Weimar. I attended American River College before transferring to UC Davis, where I earned my B.A. in Art Studio in 1993. During my undergraduate years, I had the privilege of studying under Gary Pruner, Roy DeForest, David Hollowell, and Wayne Thiebaud. In 1996, I began teaching high school art classes at Chana High School in Auburn, California.
Since 2006, I’ve committed to completing a small painting nearly every day, sharing my work through my Instagram feed. I’ve found that the daily practice of painting aligns perfectly with my disposition and artistic sensibility.
Today, I live in Auburn, California, with my wonderful wife and amazing children. My works are held in private and corporate collections across North America and Europe.

The course has 6 modules for 7+ hours of learning and practicing. It also includes 10+ full-length artwork tutorials! You can pause and replay the videos as much as you want. The course is suitable for everyone, teens, adults and children because there is no explicit content. It would be best to take the course in order, because it will start from the basics to lessons at a more advanced level.

In all my videos, I try to use as many visual elements as possible, such as pictures and references, so you can take some inspiration and you can practice. You can follow each step as I show it to you, and you can comment and compare with other students under each video or in the group so you can resolve any doubts you have and learn new tricks!
